Terri DiMatteo, LPC, is a New Jersey couples counselor and affair-recovery specialist with 14+ years in private practice. She came to this work through early childhood education, where she first studied John Bowlby's attachment theory and watched how children organize their entire world around the security of one bond. Later she went where most couples models don't look: graduate coursework in evolutionary psychology, mating strategies, and pair-bonding research.
